This weekend...

Big shooting going on this weekend in Raleighwood.

First, I'm shooting the State/Carolina game at Noon. Should be a great game. Hoping the weather has that perfect Fall football feeling. Not been able to shoot this heated rivalry in a few years. Hope it lives up to the hype. Looking forward to some tailgate photo action as well.

I always love shooting football games. Takes me back to my old N&O days, hanging with the other photogs, shooting the BS back and forth, and shooting the action of course. Miss the old burgers in the Carer-Finley press box though. Mmmmmmm.

And then I'm photographing the Wilkins/Bennett wedding at 5:30. The groom is an old family friend from my childhood. Should be interesting in that my parents will be there and it's the first time my folks have seen me shoot a wedding. They've seen me cover plenty of football and basketball games, but never nuptials. It's always hard shooting friends/family and getting paid. You feel like an insider, but you have a job to do. All these other friends want to chat and stuff, but I have to keep shooting and moving.

The Beginning

Well, this the beginning of the WPIBlog - where I hope to share some of my ideas and thoughts about photography (wedding or commercial). I plan on posting some of my latest pix that I think are fun, interesting, weird or wonderful (in my opinion, of course).

I have been working on redesigning the winstead.biz site and teaching myself Flash. I think it's looking great and will be a great bonus for my clients wishing to share their images with others - and better my display my work too. It should be up and running by Thanksgiving (keeping my fingers crossed).
